Why this blog now?

Simply, we want to share with you integrative, alternative and complimentary health practices that include the body, mind, spirit and its relationhship with the environment. Natural Health Consultants Institute’s vision is to expand the mainstream view of healthcare and well being through education. We are eager to share with others our success stories and enter into discussions about how to create a more expansive view of healthcare. This is a blog about exploration, discussion and curiously wondering about complimentary and alternatives practices for healing. Moreover we want to encourage discussions on how to create the possibility of an integrative approach toward health. You may wonder who the heck are we to want to do this in the first place?

We are a non-profit vibrant school of holistic healthcare education. For 20 years we have accomplished our mission through courses and career diplomas catering to working professionals, curious individuals and the next generation of holistic healthcare practitioners.

We share a passion to serve, explore, explain and apply the integral correlation between body, mind, spirit and our larger body, the Earth. We achieve this by integrating consciousness and science, inspiring personal growth.

We believe that this understanding of health is critical to the sustainability of human life and to our greater harmony and happiness.

While our school has approximately 300 students per year and 30 teachers, we are a small staff of 6, this includes me, Chiara Borrello. I am the director of the school. For the most part you will be hearing my voice. And I hope to include many other links and posts that our teachers, students, alumni, friends and staff want to share with you. I look forward to this virtual relationship. And I also hope to meet you at our humble abode. We are in an old home located on Girouard avenue in NDG. One of our claim to fame is that William Shatner was supposedly born and lived here with his family until the age of 6 or 7.
